CHANGE YOUR SITUATION TO IMPROVE YOUR LIFE

by Matt Weik

Not everyone comes out of the womb with a silver spoon in their hand. For the majority of us, we have to scratch, claw, and fight for everything we want in life. Yet, some people expect things to simply be handed to them, and when they aren’t, it’s the world’s fault in their eyes – not their own. These people look in the mirror and are unhappy with what they see. They aren’t pleased with where they are in life. Many of them don’t know what to do. We all have choices to make with our life. And if you want to improve your life, you’re going to need to change your situation.

A CBD BEVERAGE COLLABORATION BETWEEN KILL CLIFF AND JOE ROGAN?

by Matt Weik

Kill Cliff is a brand that needs no introduction. Now, Joe Rogan, on the other hand… just kidding. This is probably one of the coolest things I’ve seen from a collaboration standpoint other than the things Ghost Lifestyle is doing with their unique flavor partnerships. Kill Cliff has been selling a CBD beverage for a little while now, but with the man, himself, Joe Rogan putting his hand in the cookie jar, you know there’s going to be something special happening.

THE DETERMINATION OF JAKE WOOD

by Christian Duque

It’s safe to say that 2020 has been the year from hell for public events. From concerts to major league sporting events to bodybuilding contests. Many competitors called it quits for 2020. Amateurs opted to vy for pro cards in 2021; pro’s decided to look into different ways to earn income than to prep for contests that may or may not happen. From all the meals, to the gear, the training at gyms that were open one week and closed the next, it just didn’t make financial sense. Not to mention the fact that most competitors don’t even place in the money to begin with and money at any show besides the Arnold or Olympia, isn’t exactly going to buy you any fancy houses or cool rides.

DID BIG RAMY REALLY DESERVE A SPECIAL INVITE? WILL HE DISAPPOINT US AGAIN?

by Matt Weik

I’m going to be fully transparent. I’ve sat on writing this article for nearly a month now, and while I may have some people who disagree with me, I need to put it out there. The question of “Did Big Ramy really deserve a special invitation?” has been floating around the industry for weeks now, and you have groups on both sides of the debate. Who’s right? Well, neither are wrong. Both have a right to their opinion, and both sides have valid points. That said, I’m going to try to stay right down the middle in this debate even though I favor one side heavily (and you’ll probably figure it out if you continue reading).

WILL THERE BE A POSEDOWN AT THE 2020 OLYMPIA?

by Christian Duque

God, I hope so!! The last time I saw a posedown at an Olympia press conference was online, like 15 years ago, when The Freakin Rican Gustavo Badell showed the audience the physique he’d built for the stage. At the time, Gustavo had placed 3rd for two consecutive years and he was starting to develop a lot of buzz. Fans and pundits, alike, were starting to look at him as the guy who would eventually topple Ronnie Coleman. In fact, Badell beat Ronnie in the Challenge Round. The point is, you had a top guy who was so confident in the physique he built, that he had no issue showing it off before hitting the stage. Moreover, Badell wanted to really give the fans something to talk about.

ROELLY WINKLAAR TESTS POSITIVE FOR COVID-19 DAYS BEFORE THE OLYMPIA

by Matt Weik

This past weekend, rumors started to surface that Roelly Winklaar may be pulling out of the Olympia. Many would speculate that he wasn’t happy with his conditioning and simply pulled out last minute but being that Roelly seemed to be in his best conditioning ever, many didn’t see that being the reason. Could it be that he couldn’t get a visa in time and was stuck? Or maybe he ran into issues during his travels that kept in him Turkey?

COULD ATHLETICON STOMP OUT THE ARNOLD CLASSIC IN 2021?

by Matt Weik

2020 has been the year that caused many bodybuilders to pull their hair out. I can’t imagine anything more frustrating than prepping for months to get ready for a show, only to find out the show has been canceled a week or two before jumping on stage. Well, that’s the world we currently live in, and, unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon. No show has felt the effects of 2020 more than the Arnold Classic, and 2021 could be another black eye at the hands of Athleticon.

WILLIAM BONAC – IGNORED AND OVERLOOKED

by Christian Duque

Let me come out and say it. It’s December 3rd as I pen this article for Iron Magazine. You’ll probably read this December 4th or 5th and I doubt this issue will be corrected by then; but even if it is, the basis of this article stands. One look at the Olympia promos to date and a certain kind of picture gets painted. Thankfully, they’re starting to give Brandon Curry more of center stage on the promos, where he belongs, as the reigning champion, but they’re missing their mark with other notable competitors.
