JOSE RAYMOND EYEING UP A COMEBACK TO THE BODYBUILDING STAGE

by Matt Weik

When it comes to 212 bodybuilding, there are some names that will forever go down in division history. You have names like Flex Lewis, who had a run of Olympia wins that I’m not sure will ever be broken. Then you have guys like Guy Cisternino who can grab a mic and get people rolling on the floor laughing. Then there’s Jose Raymond – “The Boston Mass.”

KUDOS TO NICK WALKER – BIG WINS!

by Christian Duque

IFBB Pro Nick Walker may be young and may be a new pro, but don’t let either of those factors shape your opinion of him. In a very short amount of time, we’ve seen the North American champion show the world how to be a consummate professional. At first, like most stars, Nick saw himself involved in a major feud. Whenever someone is hot in the fitness industry, there are elements of the media that will look for various ways to create content on or around them; some call this groundbreaking journalism, but in reality, it’s nothing but smoke.

SNACK HOUSE PUFFS COULD BE THE ANSWER TO YOUR FAMILY’S PROTEIN PROBLEMS

by Matt Weik

Shout out to all the parents out there who live a healthy lifestyle and try to teach their kids how to make smart, healthy choices when it comes to nutrition. I have a 6-year-old boy and twin 2-year-old boys, and to say they love protein couldn’t be any further from the truth. When speaking with other parents, it seems to be quite common that kids love carbs. Considering that over 40% of American adults are considered obese, the parents clearly like carbohydrates as much as their kids. Well, we both know you shouldn’t give your kids a diet made up of 100% carbs. So, what do you do? You try to find SOMETHING they will eat that has protein, right? That’s when I stumbled upon Snack House Puffs.

NAC SUPPLEMENTS GET BANNED BY THE FDA?

by Matt Weik

Over the years, we’ve watched the FDA strip away ingredients and supplements that ACTUALLY WORK. Why does the FDA have such a hard-on for the supplement industry? Is it because supplements that actually work are taking away from Big Pharma, and therefore, they step in to protect these pharmaceutical crooks… I mean companies? In their latest edition of, “I have nothing better to do so let’s ban a supplement,” the FDA decided to reverse a decision that has been around for a long time and ban NAC (N acetyl cysteine) from being sold over the counter.

THE FALL OF LUIMARCO

by Christian Duque

Luimarco, the L.U.I…, who can forget that character? He hated me, hated Gregg Valentino, and wouldn’t do an interview with Ron Harris because Gregg and I both had weekly shows at MD. Lui did an interview with Dave Palumbo of RxMuscle, only to erase it because he found Dave to curse too much and that didn’t sit well with his principles. Then he went and did an interview at a small outlet, known for its raunchy content, but go figure.

IS BODYBUILDING A HYPER-CRITICAL SPORT TO BE A FAN?

by Matt Weik

Social media by far changes the playing field for fans of various sports. Never before were fans able to nearly reach out and touch athletes as well as communicate with them directly. Now, you can tweet your favorite athletes or hit them up in comments or DMs on Instagram, and if you’re lucky, they’ll hit you back. Yet, it seems like other televised sports have a different group of fans and acceptance when compared to bodybuilding. Why is that?

by Christian Duque

With the 2021 contest season off to a great start, one can’t help but focus on the 212 Bodybuilding Division. True to its core values, the bodybuilders here bring size, condition, and symmetry. They pose hard and they’re used to being compared over and over again. Just last week, Tonio Burton came out of nowhere, to win the coveted Indy Pro title. Dave Bowers and his team put together a fantastic production and many of the biggest names in the the category were looking to make a lasting impression at the first contest of the season.

MASKS VS. MOVEMENT: WHICH CAN BETTER PROTECT AMERICANS HEALTH?

by Matt Weik

I’m not about to try and convince you that masks are good or bad, nor am I trying to change your opinion of what’s going on regarding the pandemic these days. However, what I do want you to think about is where your focus is and what can actually help keep you safe and healthy (regardless of if you got the shot or not). Should we look to protect American’s health by forcing them to wear a mask if they refuse to get the vaccine, or should we, instead, recommend they move more and become more physically active?
