FORGING CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS SHOULD BE A BRAND’S PRIORITY

by Matt Weik

These days, I see a common theme, and it revolves around supplement brands throwing money into Google ads, Instagram ads, and Facebook ads. While running these ads can absolutely help build sales and attention for a brand, for many, all they see happening on a monthly basis is money being set on fire without any return on their investment (ROI). If you’ve seen or experienced this, you’re not alone, it happens to more brands than you’d think. Now, if instead of throwing their money away, they leveraged customer relationships and built a community, they wouldn’t need to spend nearly as much on marketing.

SALIVATION SNACK FOODS: GOOD ENOUGH TO MAKE YOUR MOUTH WATER?

by Matt Weik

For starters, I get that I’m a little bit slow, so bear with me here. I found these Salivation Snack Foods Brownies and (well, I love brownies), and for the first 24 hours, I thought they were called “Salvation Snack Foods.” The packaging has what appears to be wings and a halo, and apparently, I can’t read — so, there’s that. Heck, maybe you read it the same way I did at first without giving it a second thought? Either way, let’s keep moving forward here.

“THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING BRANDON, SO MUCH.”

by Christian Duque

Almost every week since the 2020 Mr. Olympia I’ve thought about this brief exchange between myself and one of my favorite Mr. Olympias of all time, #14 Shawn “Flexatron” Rhoden. Picture it! It’s moments after the contest, I’d just interviewed new 212 Mr. Olympia, The Giant Killer, Shaun Clarida. I was in high spirits and Ramy and Brandon came out. I was debating asking Ramy for an interview, but I wasn’t wild about the way he got into the contest and made my position quite public.

by Matt Weik

If you think back several years, digital fitness wasn’t even in the conversation when discussing exercise and fitness. Sure, you had some apps that provided people with workout programs, but nothing like what we are witnessing today. With the advent of digital fitness, it has become a breakthrough moment where more people are getting active who were initially put off by “working out” because they didn’t feel comfortable going to a commercial gym or didn’t have the financial means to pay for a monthly gym membership.

WHAT’S MISSING THAT WOULD MAKE BODYBUILDING A MAINSTREAM SPORT?

by Matt Weik

Wouldn’t it be nice to turn on the television on a Friday and Saturday night and be able to watch a bodybuilding show? Instead, we are left to pay for a plane ticket, hotel, transportation, and ticket to go see a show in person. If you’re into that kind of thing, cool. But for those of us who have a family, it’s impossible to make frequent trips to bodybuilding shows. What we are left with are crappy livestream productions that have the clarity and crispness of beer goggles, all while paying more than a damn UFC Pay-Per-View – it’s insane!

Anticipation for the 2021 Arnold Classic is spreading like wildfire, with fans and media outlets casting predictions insofar as who will win the 2nd most prestigious bodybuilding contest in the world.
