Which is Better For Fat Loss: Cardio or Weight Training?

by Tom Venuto

A recent study from Duke University comparing aerobic versus weight training to see which is better for fat loss was one of the most publicized studies of the year. My in-box was bursting with emails from Burn the Fat readers sending me links from news websites, and asking me, “What do you think of this Tom? Should I stop lifting weights and focus on aerobics until I get the fat off?” I think the researchers missed the mark when they concluded that “Aerobic exercise is better” … Read on to find out why and see what the top trainers, best bodybuilders and hottest fitness models in the world really say is the best way to burn fat the fastest…

D-Aspartic Acid Explained (DAA)

The Holy Grail for male enhancement/performance, life, or sexual enhancement, is boosting testosterone, particularly if it can be done safely and legally. A number of means and methods can boost testosterone, albeit most are temporary and have only a modest effect on enhancements of various sorts. Some methods are consequential to current or anticipated changes in the environment; handling a gun increases testosterone, an obvious advantage in anticipation of meeting a threat or challenge.1

Most Misunderstood Foods

by Geoff Roberts

There are few topics that the general public is more confused about than nutrition. Between all the new “studies” coming out weekly, seeming to always contradicting each other, food industry lobbyists setting our food recommendations, the vegan cult, and horrendously misinformed doctors, it is not hard to figure out why.

Teenage Supplement Abuse: Who’s at Fault?

by Matt Weik

In early 2016 the Wall Street Journal published an article calling out the sports nutrition industry for what they call, “marketing to minors”. They claim that manufacturers are dooping young athletes into using their products. I’m not sure where they are getting their information or basing such an outlandish claim, but I can’t see it being any further from the truth.

What Your Hidden Abs REALLY Means

by Matt Weik

It goes without saying, abs are made in the kitchen. You can’t eat junk and think you’re going to walk around 365 days a year with visible abs. You simply can’t out-train a poor diet. But what does your lack of a washboard stomach say about your overall health? Is there more going on than what you see on the exterior? The hidden risks are down-right scary.

Stop Calling Your Metabolism A Curse

by Geoff Roberts

One of the most common statements in the world of bodybuilding goes as follows: “A fast metabolism is both a blessing and a curse.” This statement, in regards to bodybuilding, for several obvious reasons (at least obvious to me), is completely incorrect. Claiming that a fast metabolism is a curse in bodybuilding because you have to eat more food and it makes building muscle harder, is like claiming that being tall is a curse in basketball because you tend to be a bit slower and you need custom made shoes.

The Next Generation of GH Secretagogues?

by Mike Arnold

Of all the drugs used in bodybuilding today, growth hormone is probably the most lauded of the bunch. From beginners to advanced lifters alike, everyone seems to want to use this stuff. It’s not hard to understand why. It rapidly increases muscle fullness, makes it easier to stay lean, helps prevent injuries, and of course, builds muscle. Although pharmacy-grade GH is ideal, its excessive cost and a preponderance of fakes have made its acquisition unrealistic for most. While UGL-made GH is an acceptable alternative, it is still rather costly in comparison to other PEDs and frequently suffers from dosing/legitimacy issues. This has caused many bodybuilders to start exploring new options, the most popular of which is a category of PEDs commonly referred to as “GH peptides/secretagogues”.

Back Development And Glute Conditioning: Bodybuilding’s Holy Grail

It is not uncommon to hear a person in or around the bodybuilding industry make a statement in regards to the winner of a bodybuilding contest ultimately coming down to which competitor has the fewer number of weaknesses. If you follow bodybuilding for any length of time, it becomes obvious (at least it should) that this sentiment is incorrect more times than not. More accurate would be a statement such as “The competitor with the BEST weaknesses wins the show.” What this means is that it seems to be more conducive to make sure your weak points are “less important” muscle groups, whereas your strong points are “more important” muscle groups, in regards to how modern bodybuilding is judged.

How to Modify Fast Food So You Don’t Blow Your Diet

by Matt Weik

Just because you want to grab a quick bite to eat while on the go doesn’t mean you have to completely blow your diet. In fact, if you make wise choices, you don’t need to feel bad at all for hitting a fast food restaurant. Unlike most people, you won’t be ordering the hypertension special with a side of diabetes. Instead, you’ll be ordering the clean gains with a side of abs.

by Matt Weik

It’s common today to find workouts and samples of nutrition programs flooding fitness magazines around the globe. Likewise, just about every single fitness website that shares content has the same.
