What if Flex Wheeler Had Won the ‘98 Mr. Olympia?

by Christian Duque

Any statement that starts with the words “what if,” is always interesting. It’s fun to speculate as to what may have happened in some alternate reality, with the benefit of hindsight. Up until 1998, Dorian Yates had the Olympia on lockdown, much like his predecessor, Lee Haney did. Both Lee and Dorian, like Ronnie later, would set the standard by which all other bodybuilders could only aspire to reach.

Mark Wahlberg and The 2019 Mr. Olympia

by Christian Duque

If you love movies, music, and/or appreciate contemporary, American pop culture, then the name Mark Wahlberg should inspire many different, positive reactions. When I think of Mark, I remember his music from the 90’s, I remember watching him as the lead singer of the band Steel Dragon in the movie, Rockstar, and I almost immediately think of Boston.

Keep Your Money for Retirement – Not Illness

by Matt Weik

I can’t tell you how many people I have watched succumb to illness late in life due to poor lifestyle choices. They saved up tons of money so they can retire wealthy and do whatever they wanted for the rest of their lives. Unfortunately, a good chunk of their money is now going into medications, doctors visits, treatments, and financially draining medical bills. You see, something as simple as moving more and eating less could have saved them years of their life, but they had the mentality of “it’ll never happen to me.” Until it does.

Caffeine Performance Study: No Help to Habitual Stimulant Users?

by Matt Weik

Caffeine supplementation is extremely popular and has been known to be an ergogenic aid that can help enhance performance in the gym and on the playing field. Athletes around the globe have been using caffeine as a pre-workout or pre-competition performance enhancement for years. However, a new study is showing that for those who drink caffeinated drinks (tea, coffee, energy drinks) daily, that caffeine shows minimal improvements in performance compared to those who don’t drink caffeinated drinks regularly.

What’s Up With Big Ramy?

by Christian Duque

Here’s what we know. We know, Big Ramy has reached as high as 2nd place at the Mr. Olympia. We know he’s worked with Dennis James, Chris Aceto, Bader Boodai and most recently, Neil Hill. We know he’s doing a movie with Mike Tyson in Egypt. We also know, he didn’t do the Arnold, didn’t show up in Pittsburgh, and announced he wouldn’t be re-qualifying in Tampa and/or doing the 2019 Mr. Olympia. Without doing more shows, much less the Olympia, I can’t imagine he’s doing much work with Hill, anyways.

What the Hell Could Kai Possibly Want?

by Christian Duque

Ok, I’ll bite. I’ve tried to so long to ignore this “news story,” because it’s not a news story. It’s not anything – except for clickbait. I don’t fault Kai, because he does appearances and agrees to do interviews because he’s promoting a lot of projects – he has no control over what he’s asked, and even if he did, do you think journalists won’t ask anyways?

Confusion Coaches

by Geoff Roberts

Fitness is officially full-on trendy. There is no shortage of skinny-fat people sporting gym brands outside the gym as if they are hardcore, while they spend hundreds of dollars and thousands of minutes coordinating gym outfits strictly to take photos of themselves in the gym. It takes but one scroll through Instagram to learn that letting everyone know that you go to the gym has somehow become much more important than one’s actual progress in the gym.

Why Is Creating Content Important for Your Supplement Brand?

by Matt Weik

In today’s age, more and more companies are looking to build traffic to their website, regardless of if they are a direct to consumer brand or if they are simply trying to build awareness of their products. Many of them have amazing websites with a ton of great products but their sales and traffic sucks. They are left scratching their head. If they were to only fully understand the power of creating content, they could see a huge spike in traffic and convert more sales.
