CAN’T MAXX CHARLES CATCH A BREAK?

by Christian Duque

It seems that The Destroyer has really paid his dues over the years, competing at multiple contests – nationally and internationally – and taking respectable placings. Just this year, he cracked the Top 10 at the Arnold Classic, took Top 5 at the NY Pro (where many fans, myself included, thought he should have placed much higher), and just took 2nd place to Antoine Vaillant at the 2020 Muscle Contest California.

MUSCULAR DEVELOPMENT IS THE LAST STANDING MAGAZINE: DO THEY HAVE AN ADVANTAGE?

by Matt Weik

I can’t begin to tell you how much I enjoyed reading bodybuilding and fitness magazines back in the day. When an issue would show up in the mail, I was like a kid in a candy store. I’d sit down and read the magazine from cover to cover without stopping. I wanted to take in as much information as I could and dive deep into the industry. Unfortunately, print magazines have died off. Yet, there is one left standing after the rest pivoted – Muscular Development. Either Steve Blechman, the owner of Muscular Development, is completely nuts or he feels he has an advantage now. Which of the two is it or both? Let’s discuss.

BREON ANSLEY, NICK MILLER FEUD?

by Christian Duque

First of all, I don’t think there’s a “feud” at all, most definitely not from 2x Classic Physique Olympia Breon Ansley’s side. Here’s what basically happened, as far as I see it. NIck Miller, aka Nick Strength And Power, is the most popular YouTuber. Miller made some predictions, Breon Ansley disagreed, laid out his points, and took Miller to task.

WAS IT REDEMPTION – OR DESTINY?

by Christian Duque

Taking second place does something to a competitor. Being Top 6 is great, Top 5 is even better, and being 3rd means you’re on the verge of greatness. You’re so close, it’s almost a foregone conclusion that one day – very soon – you’ll be in top spot. 3rd means you still know what you need to do, you can still make adjustments, still address minor flaws, and you improving is the key to your success; however, what about 2nd place? The runner-up spot has got to be the most psychologically perplexing placing of them all.

SELF-MASSAGE REDUCES STRESS AND HELPS MUSCLE RECOVERY

by Matt Weik

Who couldn’t use a massage? That being said, not everyone has the coin to drop on weekly massages. For that reason, I went out looking for an answer and found Dr. David Sol, DAc, Lac, LMT, CFMP, and Dean of Massage Programs at Pacific College of Health and Science. David is an expert when it comes to self-massage and I thought it would be invaluable to spend some time understanding how we all could utilize self-massage to reduce stress and help with muscle recovery.

APPARENTLY, CONTENT CREATORS CAN’T HAVE AN OPINION THESE DAYS

by Matt Weik

It’s become apparent over the last few years that content creators aren’t allowed to have an opinion anymore. It’s as if what comes out of their mouths is automatically criticized. Now, I’m not saying that some of the stuff people say isn’t totally inaccurate, but when someone has an opinion on a subject why is it no longer respected?

2 CRITICAL THINGS THAT ARE HURTING BIG RAMY’S PLACINGS

by Matt Weik

After his poor showing at the 2018 Mr. Olympia, where he placed outside the top five, Big Ramy vowed to come back better. Even going as far as apologizing to his fans on social media for his horrible performance and look. Last year, when we expected to see Big Ramy on stage, he was nowhere to be seen. IAIN VALLIERE VENTS ABOUT TAMPA PRO

by Christian Duque

The rivalry between Hunter Labrada and Iain Valliere was set the moment the placings were announced at the 2020 IFBB Pro League Tampa Pro. There was a lot of build-up leading to the contest, as fans all over the world had been typing away on the message boards.
